Three years ago, the YRF partnered with the DYF to help fund a new social worker position at Bearskin Meadow Camp. Since then, the social worker at Bearskin Meadow has proven to be an invaluable resource for the children, teens, and their parents while at camp and throughout the year. As a result of this finding, it has become abundantly clear to us that we must focus our effort toward facilitating the availability of mental health services to type 1 diabetics.

The Yellow Rose Foundation is excited about, and committed to, addressing this need.
The Yellow Rose Foundation has been actively exploring the possibility of creating a three-way partnership with The George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis (the number one ranked program in the country), and the Diabetic Youth Foundation. The purpose of this partnership would be to bring more mental health providers (social workers) into diabetes services.
